🩸 Lymphome : des symptômes parfois difficiles à identifier
Saviez-vous que certains symptômes du lymphome peuvent ressembler à ceux d’infections virales courantes ?
🔎 Gonflement indolore des ganglions lymphatiques
🌡️ Fièvre récurrente
💦 Transpiration excessive, notamment la nuit
⚖️ Perte de poids inexpliquée
Ces symptômes, souvent peu spécifiques, peuvent compliquer le parcours vers le diagnostic et conduire à plusieurs consultations ou examens avant d’en identifier la cause.
👉 Mieux connaître les signes du lymphome, mieux former les professionnels de santé et faciliter l’orientation vers les spécialistes peuvent contribuer à raccourcir l’errance diagnostique.
Mais pendant cette période d’incertitude, trop de personnes se sentent encore perdues et seules.
🌍 À l’occasion de la Journée mondiale de sensibilisation au lymphome, la communauté internationale se rassemble autour de la campagne :

💡Wist je dat de symptomen van lymfoom net zo kunnen zijn als die van gewone virale infecties? Pijnloze zwelling van de lymfeklieren, terugkerende koorts, overmatig zweten of onverklaarbaar gewichtsverlies.
Dit kan ervoor zorgen dat zorgteams in het ongewisse blijven en mensen het ene onderzoek na het andere laten ondergaan om erachter te komen wat er aan de hand is.
‼Betere voorlichting in de eerstelijnszorg over lymfoom en betere doorverwijzingsprocedures kunnen helpen om een tijdige diagnose te stellen. Maar tot die tijd voelen te veel mensen zich verloren en alleen.
Op de Werelddag voor Lymfoombewustzijn verenigt de wereldwijde lymfoomgemeenschap zich in de campagne ‘Navigating Lymphoma and CLL Together’ en roept zij mensen op om zich aan te sluiten bij de belofte ‘No Patient Travels Alone’ op WorldLymphomaAwarenessDay.org.
👉Kies een van de uitdagingen waarmee je te maken hebt gehad tijdens de diagnose, behandeling of het leven als overlevende, en deel deze op sociale media om anderen te laten zien dat ze niet alleen op dit pad staan.

The Lymphoma Coalition Global Survey results are out and Ireland just received the Country Specific Report.
One of the questions Irish lymphoma and CLL patients were asked.....
Have you had the Shingrix vaccine (For Shingles)?
- Only 18% of respondents have received the Shingrix vaccine in Ireland
- 1 in 3 (33%) have never even heard of the Shingrix vaccine
- 21% say they cannot get it due to financial barriers as the vaccine costs approximately €500, despite being medically recommended for people with CLL and lymphoma
- Shingrix is available free of charge in Northern Ireland for eligible patients, creating a clear North/South access gap
- 14% plan to get it but have not yet done so
- Just 10% do not want the vaccine
- 4% are unsure
- Key finding: Cost is the single biggest barrier after lack of awareness, many patients who need this vital protection cannot afford it.
Shingrix is strongly advised for those living with CLL and lymphoma due to weakened immune systems. It is unacceptable that cost prevents so many from accessing it, while it is free in Northern Ireland. We are calling for equal, free access across the island for all immunocompromised patients.
CLL Ireland is calling on our Government to fund the Shingles vaccine as a matter of urgency to protect our patients and we are also concerned that there is no national information campaign on Shingles.
